Here are answers to questions frequently asked by prospective staff members:

When do I have to be there?

Staff members need to arrive at camp the morning of June 19th and may leave the afternoon of August 9th.

Will I get time off?

Most staff members are off from Saturday morning after the camp session ends until we get back together for the next session on Sunday afternoon. Time off during the week is limited and varies with the type of job you have at the camp.

Where will I live?

Most staff members will live in cabins with the campers. Each cabin sleeps ten and has its own restrooms with showers. Some staff will also be housed in the camp's two lodges.

What about meals?

At The Camp we've developed a reputation for great food. Our dining hall offers a variety of nutritious meals and can accommodate those with special dietary needs. Staff members receive meals at no cost.

Will I get training?

Prior to the campers arriving, staff members receive a week of intensive training. The training includes a wide range of topics including outdoor skills, child development and leadership. In addition, staff members attend weekly training throughout the summer.

What do you expect at a Christian camp?

We ask that you be a person of Christian faith who is willing to share that faith with campers. We'll also expect that you live a Christian lifestyle and serve as a role model while you work at camp.

What if I'm not from the Episcopal Church?

While we are a ministry of the Episcopal Church we actively seek staff members from a variety of faith backgrounds. We value diversity in beliefs and the sharing and exploration of faith issues that diversity brings.

Who will I work with?

Our summer staff is a team effort between our year round staff, our summer staff and volunteers. Our summer staff is primarily  college students from throughout the country. We also have several international members on our staff.
