Our Mission

While The Camp is a place filled with fun and friendship, it is also a place with special and higher purpose…helping kids grow in their faith. Our program builds on the opportunities presented by the wonder of God's creation found in nature and the camper's distance from the distractions of day to day life. Through daily faith formation activities, campers are challenged and inspired to explore and grow in faith. Opportunities abound for campers to grow closer to God -- from powerful high energy worship to quiet reflective prayer.  Campers learn important life lessons and gain new perspectives as they live, work and play in a community centered on Christian beliefs and values.

Staff

While THE CAMP has great facilities and a wonderful program, our greatest strength is our staff. We recruit at schools throughout the country looking for outstanding Christian men and women to serve as role models, friends and mentors to our campers. Each has been carefully selected and takes part in an extensive training program prior to camp. Throughout the summer, they take part in ongoing training and are provided with feedback, coaching and support. As a result we have an outstanding staff who cares deeply about their faith, loves to work with kids and has an infectious enthusiasm for life. They are focused on the needs of campers and committed to helping each camper get the most out of camp.

Health and Safety

The health and safety of every camper is our top priority. We carefully design all of our programs with safety in mind. From our waterfront to our sports fields to our adventure activities, we work hard to ensure campers have a fun, yet safe, experience. To keep our camp community healthy, we have trained health care professionals on site 24 hours a day in a well-equipped health care center.

Accreditation

THE CAMP is an accredited camp of the American Camp Association (ACA). ACA accreditation is the best evidence parents have of a camp's commitment to a safe and nurturing environment for their children. Accreditation assures parents that camp practices have been measured against national standards and go beyond state licensing requirements. An accredited camp has complied with up to 300 standards encompassing facilities, health, safety, program quality, personnel, and administration. Accreditation is voluntary and must be earned. For more information check out the ACA website www.acacamps.org and their new site just for parents at www.campparents.org.

Financial Aid

Recognizing that it is financially difficult for some families to provide a camp experience for their children the camp offers financial assistance. Contact the camp or your local parish for details.
